The Warm Waistcoat That Came to Be

So anyway I was bored... then I decided why I'll make a waistcoat! As after all there is a free pattern on Burda Style for one. And that is the story of how it came to be...

I love it, I only just had enough of the fabric in my stash! It's made from brown pinstripe trouser fabric and I lined it with fleece, which makes it nice and cosy. The buttons are just four yellow ones from my stash that almost matched, not only are they not the same shade of yellow they also are not the same size, perfect!

I wore it on my morning walk, it was a warm morning for December! Do you love my wellies? They are fleece lined too. I actually inherited those bad boys! They could be older than me!

Our walk is along a french randonnee route, we follow little red and white markings that take us around a little ring route.

They pretty much put the markings on what ever they can so you have to keep a watchful eye for them. And they put angled lines for when to take a corner, well only if there is another path, and these paths that aren't part of the randonnee have red and white X's on.

I only found out about these randonnee walks like a month ago. Aparrently they have them everywhere, so I'm told. This one goes all the way to Mont-Saint-Vincent (from somewhere) but we just do the little section that is local to us.
